Introduction
The Rózsakő Wine Cellar is operated by DEM-TEAM BT that was established in 1994, its main field of activity being hospitality. It also operates personnel transport in Badacsony in the form of the Hill Taxi service.

The Rózsakő Wine Cellar began life as a small tavern (Márti Tavern) that slowly grew to form what today is the Rózsakő Wine Cellar.
The Rózsakő Wine Cellar Restaurant was built in 1997 in the "peasant baroque" style.

We consulted with the historian, Péter Barna when creating
both the exterior and interior of the restaurant. This allowed us to achieve
our desired effect, which was a new building that blends harmoniously
with its surroundings, suggesting a wine cellar of the last century and
summoning up the atmosphere of wine-presses.

The wine cellar takes its name from a local rock formation. The Rose Stone
is an enormous table-like chunk of rock that, centuries ago, rolled down
from the summit of the then active volcano. It was named in the 19th century
after Rózá)
Szegedy who often sat here with her betrothed, the noted writer, Sándor
Kisfaludy. This is probably the origin of the legend, which says that
if a boy and a girl sit on the stone with their backs to Lake Balaton,
they will be married in the same year and go on to enjoy a long and happy
married life. If a girl sits there on her own and thinks of a boy, he
will immediately fall passionately in love with her.
The Rózsakő Wine Cellar Restaurant is on Badacsony Hill under the basalt organ pipes and right next to the main tourist route through Badacsony.

We are able to welcome guests to our atmospheric wine cellar equipped to host a party of up to 50 people and a romantic garden that will accommodate up to 150 guests surrounded by vineyards. There is also a playground for children.

The Rózsakő Wine Cellar Restaurant is open yearly from 1st May - 31st October but exceptions can be made with bookings made in advance.
